Using the White Boar Gu

In the pitch-black night sky, the moon hung high like a silver plate, sprinkling down moonlight like water.

In the summer wind, the dense mountain forest gently unrolled its thick green branches and leaves. The waterfall flowed with a crashing sound, yet it could not cover up the noisy chirping of the sandalwood crickets.

Fang Yuan stepped on the green grass, quietly approaching a wild boar.

This wild boar was currently burying its head, grunting and snorting as it rooted through the green mud on the ground, rummaging for worms in the green grass and mud.

A wild boar is an omnivorous animal. They not only eat worms but also steal bird eggs, and are adept at preying on wild rabbits, mice, and even venomous creatures like snakes and scorpions.

Fang Yuan slowly approached this wild boar from behind.

Under the bright moonlight, the wild boar's gray-black fur was clearly visible. Its body was robust, its four limbs thick and short, and the bristles on its back were long and hard. There was also hair on its ears, very sparse, standing upright like needles.

It stood on all fours, with four toes on each foot, but only the middle two toes touched the ground. Its tail was thin and short, occasionally flicking to drive away the flying mosquitoes and bugs around it.

Suddenly, it stopped rooting the earth to feed and fiercely raised its head, while at the same time, its pair of upright, small pointed ears rapidly twitched a few times.

Even though Fang Yuan stopped his footsteps in time, this wild boar still discovered him. It rapidly turned around, letting out a grunting and roaring warning sound.

Fang Yuan was not surprised either. Wild animals are not like domestic livestock; they are entirely highly alert. Especially wild boars, their sense of smell is extremely sharp, able to find bird nests that are frequently hidden very well.

Even if this wild boar did not hear any movement, when Fang Yuan approached to a distance of a hundred meters, it would be able to smell the scent on Fang Yuan's body, equally able to detect Fang Yuan's presence.

Although Fang Yuan now had five Gu worms on his body—the Spring Autumn Cicada, Liquor worm, Moonlight Gu, Little Light Gu, and White Boar Gu—his equipment was not reasonable, nor was it complete.

If he had a scent-concealing Qi Lock Gu, plus a footstep-hiding Quiet Step Gu, he could completely manage to silently approach the wild boar to a distance of ten steps.

However, if he added these two Gu, then Fang Yuan would have to feed seven Gu worms. The consumption of primeval stones would be too massive, making it very difficult to support.

Ordinary Gu Masters could only feed around four or five Gu worms of the same rank. Therefore, Gu Masters frequently did not act alone, but formed five-person groups, or at least a minimum of three people.

Within the group, there would specifically be someone responsible for reconnaissance, someone responsible for movement, someone responsible for strong offense, someone responsible for healing, and someone responsible for defense.

Fang Yuan's footsteps did not stop; he continued to approach the wild boar.

The wild boar lowed, and a tuft of white bristles obviously stood up on its neck; this was a symbol of its emotional agitation.

Finally, when Fang Yuan stepped closer and broke the distance bottom line in the wild boar's heart, the wild boar pawed the ground three times with its front hooves, then broke into a stride with its robust four legs, lowered its head, and charged towards Fang Yuan.

Its upper canine teeth were exposed, turning upward to form two snow-white tusks. Under the moonlight, the tusks flashed with a cold light, stabbing directly at Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan fundamentally did not have any defensive Gu worms; if he was pierced by these tusks, his belly would be immediately punctured, and his intestines would be poked open. By then, even if he didn't die, he would be heavily injured.

"Moonlight Gu." Fang Yuan's expression was completely calm. With a shift of his mind, the Moonlight Gu residing in his right palm instantly absorbed primeval essence, emitting an eerie blue moon glow that reflected off each other with the moon in the night sky.

As the wild boar fiercely charged over, Fang Yuan swung his right palm at it.

With a pch sound, a moonblade flew out and struck the wild boar's face, instantly making fresh blood spray out.

The wild boar howled loudly from the pain, turning its anger into momentum. Its charging momentum became even faster, and in the blink of an eye, it rushed to a few steps away from Fang Yuan.

Fang Yuan agilely leapt to the side, rolled on the ground, and did a side somersault!

The wild boar charged straight past his side, and with a bang, it directly crashed into a small tree behind Fang Yuan.

The small tree was only as thick as an adult's arm; being crashed into by the wild boar like this, it immediately suffered a destructive blow. The entire tree trunk completely snapped apart, breaking into two pieces.

Fang Yuan stood up, rapidly approaching the wild boar, while simultaneously continuously throwing out moonblades with his right hand.

The eerie blue moonblades drew straight lines in the air one after another, striking the wild boar.

Several slender wounds straightaway were added to the wild boar's black-gray fur. The wounds were very deep, and crimson blood continuously gurgled outward.

The moonblades activated by Fang Yuan using upper stage primeval essence could instantly sever a human body's hardest skull, but upon this wild boar's body, they could only cause flesh and skin injuries, unable to endanger the bones.

A small wild boar was already this tough; the harshness of the survival environment in this world could thus be seen!

The wild boar lowed and charged towards Fang Yuan again.

During its running process, the dripping bloody wounds were continuously torn open, and boiling hot blood flowed outward like it cost nothing.

Fang Yuan repeated his old trick, taking another side somersault to dodge its impact.

Although the wild boar was completely formidable and its charging momentum very fierce, it had one flaw, which was that its ability to change direction was relatively weak. The faster its speed, the harder it was to change direction. Doing it this way, almost every charge went in a straight line. As long as a Gu Master was bold and careful, it was not difficult to dodge.

Swish swish swish.

Every time the wild boar charged past, Fang Yuan would swing his hand and throw out a few moonblades. Adding new injuries onto its old injuries made it increasingly angry, and the blood flowed more and more.

After several times like this, its movements slowed down, and its roaring voice also revealed a trace of weakness.

"Little Light Gu."

This time, Fang Yuan not only activated the Moonlight Gu, but also simultaneously mobilized primeval essence and injected it into the Little Light Gu.

After the Moonlight Gu was refined, it had always resided in the center of Fang Yuan's right palm, turning into a piece of a faint blue crescent moon marking. After the Little Light Gu was refined, it also resided in the right palm, forming a milky white five-pointed star pattern.

At this moment, dark green primeval essence poured completely into both Gu simultaneously. The Moonlight Gu emitted an eerie blue moonlight, while the Little Light Gu surged out a lump of milky white brilliant light.

The milky white light merged into the moonlight. What was originally just a small lump of moonlight instantly expanded to double its size.

"Go."

Fang Yuan made a chopping motion with his right hand, and an enlarged version of the moonblade instantly flew out.

The moonblade activated using the Moonlight Gu alone was only the size of a palm. But adding the assistance of the Little Light Gu, the entire volume of this moonblade expanded by double, and its attack power also expanded by double!

Squelch!

The moonblade struck the wild boar's neck, instantly sinking into its black-gray fur, then flew out from the other side by about three or four meters before rapidly dissipating in the air.

Pfft…

The wild boar stood in its original spot, stiffly stopped for a moment, and then fresh blood spouted out, just like a rapid red fountain.

It crashed to the ground. More than half of its head had been sliced off and pushed away by the spouting blood, leaving only a small piece of skin and flesh connected.

A dense bloody smell instantly rushed to the nose.

Fang Yuan did not dare to neglect. He pointed at the wild boar collapsed on the ground, and the White Boar Gu originally residing in his aperture immediately turned into a streak of milky white light and shot into the wild boar's body.

Fang Yuan stood in place, keeping guard with a nervous face. Although the beast skin map indicated this area was relatively safe, nature always had accidents happening. What if a fierce beast was attracted by this bloody smell?

After a moment's effort, the White Boar Gu wobbled as it flew back.

The entire wild boar had already shrunk by more than half. Only the gray-black fur remained, as well as the internal organs beneath the fur. As for the wild boar's meat, the vast majority of it had been eaten by the White Boar Gu.

But the strange thing was, the White Boar Gu had eaten pork nearly a thousand times larger than its own body, yet its shape did not undergo any changes.

It did not even have a single drop of blood clinging to it, remaining exactly as that completely milky white ladybug form.

"After eating this meal, I will come again to kill pigs in five days." Fang Yuan stored the White Boar Gu but did not leave directly. Instead, he took out a knife and cut off both of the wild boar's tusks.

On a wild boar's body, there were three things somewhat worth a bit of money.

The first thing was the pork, the second thing was the fur, and the third thing was the tusks.

But right now, the wild boar meat had almost been eaten clean by the White Boar Gu. The fur had also been cut completely full of devastating wounds by the moonblades; even if it was taken down, it held little significance.

Only this pair of tusks still had some value. They could serve as food for a certain kind of Gu worm that fed by swallowing teeth, or as items used for completely refining and advancing certain Gu worms.

After Fang Yuan hid this pair of tusks into the rock crack secret cave, he returned to the academy dormitory.

He did not immediately fall asleep; instead, he sat cross-legged on the bed and began to cultivate.

In his aperture, waves rose and fell on the primeval sea, tides ebbing and flowing.

Fang Yuan was now a middle stage Gu Master; after using the Liquor worm to refine it, he obtained upper stage primeval essence.

Therefore, for ordinary peers, their primeval essence was the pale green color of the middle stage, while Fang Yuan's primeval essence was exactly the dark green color of the upper stage.

However, after hunting and killing a wild boar, the primeval essence currently remaining in Fang Yuan's aperture was at twenty-three percent.

A Rank one Gu Master's combat strength was not very strong. Or rather, the environment of nature was truly too harsh. Although the moonblade could sever bone, to kill an ordinary wild boar, Fang Yuan actually had to use up twenty percent of his upper stage primeval essence.

"White Boar Gu."

His eyes were tightly closed, and his entire mind poured into his aperture.

In the aperture, a surge of dark green primeval essence rushed upwards in reverse, pouring into the White Boar Gu's body.

The White Boar Gu instantly completely blossomed with dazzling white light; the white light shone upon Fang Yuan's body. If one were to completely look from the outside right now, Fang Yuan's body was radiating a faint and pure white light from the inside out.

Every inch of Fang Yuan's skin and every fiber of his muscles were bathed within this white light.

A completely numb and itchy sensation surged into Fang Yuan's heart. The white light modified Fang Yuan's muscles, letting strength merge into his body bit by bit, stationing there from then on, never to flow away again.

However, a moment later, this numb and itchy sensation turned into pain. This pain, at first carrying an electrocution-like numbness, then turned completely into an intense pain exactly like slicing apart every spot of muscle with a razor blade!

Fang Yuan hastily stopped the White Boar Gu.

To go beyond is as wrong as to fall short.

The White Boar Gu totally could not be overused; it should be used for about a quarter of an hour every day. Once completely past this time, it would induce pain, and increasingly fiercely.

If he forcibly activated it again at this moment, it might just be able to literally cause a person to die from the pain!
